Kirby Gallery was established by Robert and Jennifer Kirby in 1996 and is one of Barbados' most vibrant art galleries.  It features an extensive collection of art including original paintings, limited edition prints, serigraphs and sculptures by local, regional and international artists. 

The fully air conditioned gallery is centrally located near the Garrison Savannah, just south of the Capital, Bridgetown.  It is open weekdays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

During the year a number of individual and group exhibitions are held in the gallery and are open to the public. Previous shows have featured artists such as:

• Boscoe Holder, Leo Glasgow, Carlisle Harris, Darla Trotman, Ann Dodson, Ras Ishi Butcher, Ras Akyem Ramsey

• Jean Blades, Heather-Dawn Scott, Victor Collector, Vanita Comissiong, John Stuart, Paola Baldi, Neville Legall

• David Alleyne, Hilary Armstrong, Jackie Philip, Tonya St. Cyr, Shalini Seereeram, Martin Superville and Rachael Superville

The gallery’s clientele include Barbadians from all walks of life and collectors from all around the world.  Many companies feature local art work in their corporate offices, and some have selected work for their offices in North America and Europe. 

An active sponsor of the arts, it has featured for many years in the Holders Season with the chattel house gallery on site, and more recently, it has become a sponsor of Sean Jackson, one of Barbados' most gifted musicians who has established an annual event of classical music.  The gallery also functions as an inspirational stop for senior art students from the island's local schools.
