Hilary
was born in Barbados in 1959 and was educated in Barbados and England.
In 1977 she started as a Batik Artist for the “Barbados Batik”. She
was the artist in charge from 1979 to 1981, when she left to open her own
studio. Hilary has designed batiks for “Caribelle Batik” in St.
Lucia and St. Kitts.
As
well as Batik, Hilary also paints on canvas, paper and plywood. She
has painted murals in private homes and many large ones within the
Business community, most of which can be seen by the public. Hilary
works out of her studio at Andrews Plantation in St. Joseph.
