| Wayne Branch | ||||||||
| Biography | ||||||||
|
Since 1996 on returning to Barbados he has taught art at the Combermere School, day and evening classes at the Barbados Community College and as well, on a full time basis, lectured at Erdiston Teachers Training College. In addition, he has given workshops and demonstrations in painting and drawing.
His work has been presented to the public in the form of one-man and group shows and is featured in a number of public and prominent private collections. He is also the recipient of a number of awards for painting both locally and abroad. Wayne’s work is about nature, people and society with messages communicated through the vehicle of light. He believes that, “light is the purveyor of life, the diacritical link to our senses which is evocative of emotion. It creates a special magic and gives meaning to everything that it touches in a way that nothing else can.” |
