His goal through his work is to communicate the beauty of his homeland and its people as well as the beauty of the new people and places he experienced. “I see the world through Caribbean eyes. All that I paint is influenced by the lyrical colors, shapes, and rhythms of my life growing up in a small village in Barbados”.

Winston was born in
Vauxhall, Christ Church, Barbados and emigrated to the United States in
1994. Since my emigration to the United States in 1994, new influences
such as contacts with other artists, museums, galleries and libraries are
enriched his perception and opened new possibilities of expression.
