In 1967, Leo Glasgow won the Trinidad Art Society Award for the two most outstanding works on show. In 1973, field researchers from the Art Education Teachers College, Columbia University, chose Leo to participate in the use of art education and art therapy for drug rehabilitation programs. This led to him being presented in 1975 with the “Outstanding Instructor” trophy for art therapy from the Addiction Research and Treatment Corporation where he was employed as an Art Therapist. Between 1987-1990, Leo launched his exploration into new symbols and images whereby truth could be expressed through abstract form in color. |
