Smith Cove - Louis Brezinski

A native of New Jersey, Lois received a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.  After managing her own design firm for many years, she moved to the Cayman Islands where she began to paint and exhibit her work.  She emerged as one of the leading watercolorists in the Caribbean.

Lois exhibits at the Kennedy Cayman Fine Art gallery where she has had two solo shows and at The Avalon Gallery on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.  She has published over twenty five limited edition prints and giclees, many editions which have sold out.  Her images have been licensed for home furnishings, posters, and decorative tiles.  Her original paintings and commissions can be found in private collections and corporate offices throughout the United States, Europe, the Caribbean and South America and her paintings are in the permanent collection of the Cayman Islands National Museum.

When Lois first began painting in Grand Cayman, she was inspired by her love of the brilliant light, colors and foliage of the tropics.  But as with any artist, inspiration comes from many sources and her travels throughout Europe and beyond have provided her with new ideas and different points of view, from the ancient ruins in Europe to the quaint courtyards in Morocco.  When Lois began living in her historic home in Delray Beach, her interest in the unique architecture of those homes in the old neighborhoods of South Florida became a passion.  From that passion was conceived her recent paintings, the “collection of Historic Homes” her interest in the unique architecture of those homes in the old neighborhoods of South Florida became a passion.  From that passion was conceived her recent paintings, the “collection of Historic Homes” series of watercolors.
